Overview
Tab Path: Accounts > Accounts Center
Accounts Center is an operational starting point for finance users who work across several accounting screens during the day.
Instead of opening each accounting area separately from menus, the center helps users move through common accounting tasks from one workspace.
Main Screens
| Screen | Tab Path | Use It For |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts Center | Accounts > Accounts Center | Open common accounting tools, review balances, and move into the next task quickly. |
| Account Transactions | Accounts > Account Transactions | Review GL activity for a selected account. |
| Journal Entry / Journal List | Accounts > Journal Entry / Journal List | Enter and review manual journals. |
| Expense Entry / Expense List | Accounts > Expense Entry / Expense List | Maintain expense transactions and related review. |
How It Works
- Use the center as a navigation and control screen rather than as a replacement for the detailed forms.
- It is especially useful when the user needs to review accounts, then move directly into journals, expenses, or fiscal management tasks.
- The center works best when users understand which detailed screen should be used next for action.
Recommended Workflow
- Open Accounts Center at the start of the accounting task.
- Use the available shortcuts or panels to move into the needed detailed screen, such as account review, journal entry, or expenses.
- Complete the detailed work in the appropriate form, then return to the center if you need to continue with another accounting step.
- Use it as a repeatable control point during month-end or review work.
Best Practice
- Treat the center as an organized starting point, not the final review for everything.
- Move into the correct detailed form when actual data entry or correction is required.
- Use this approach to reduce menu searching and improve workflow consistency.
