| Main Task | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Received Cheques List | Review customer cheques and continue deposit or status follow-up. |
| Receive / Deposit Cheque | Record or continue the deposit process for an incoming cheque. |
| Bounce Cheque | Record a returned or unpaid cheque so balances can be corrected. |
| Issue Cheque | Create a cheque payment from the business side. |
| Print Cheque | Print the cheque on the selected cheque format. |
| Void Cheque | Cancel an issued cheque that should no longer remain active. |
| Register Chequebook | Maintain cheque book ranges where your cheque process requires controlled numbering. |
| Cheques List | Review cheque information across the cheque workflow. |
Received Cheques
Tab Path: Banking > Received Cheques
- Open the received cheque list or the receive/deposit action.
- Review the cheque number, date, bank, payee, and amount.
- Use the deposit function when the cheque is going to the bank.
- Mark the cheque as cleared when the cheque is fully accepted in your process.
- If the cheque is returned unpaid, use Bounce Cheque instead of leaving it as if it was successful.
Tip: Received cheque lists usually become much easier to control when users filter by date and cheque status regularly.
Issued And Paid Cheques
Tab Path: Banking > Paid Cheques
- Issue the cheque for the correct bank, payee, date, and amount.
- Print the cheque when a physical cheque output is required.
- Use registered chequebooks where your numbering process is controlled.
- Review the paid cheque list for follow-up, status, and audit support.
- Void the cheque only when the cheque should not remain valid.
Important: Do not void a cheque just because it has a processing issue. Use the correct exception method so your records stay clear and auditable.
Bounce And Void
| Action | Use It When |
|---|---|
| Bounce Cheque | A received cheque is returned or unpaid by the bank. Record the returned cheque details, transaction date, reference, and description so the financial effect can be handled properly. |
| Void Cheque | An issued cheque should no longer be active, such as after cancellation, spoilage, or internal correction before completion. |
Lists And Review

Best Practice
- Review received and paid cheque lists regularly instead of waiting for month-end.
- Use bounce and void actions correctly so cheque history remains clear.
- Keep cheque number, bank, payee, and reference information complete for every entry.
- Where cheque books are used, maintain the cheque range carefully to avoid numbering confusion.
