Overview
Tab Path: iOrder > Customer Orders
QBM includes a separate iOrder order-entry flow for businesses that want a dedicated customer-order process.
The iOrder screens are designed for order capture, review, and follow-up within that specialized workflow.
Main Screens
| Screen | Tab Path | Use It For |
|---|---|---|
| iOrder Customer Orders List | iOrder > Customer Orders List | Review and reopen entered iOrder transactions. |
| iOrder Customer Order | iOrder > Customer Order | Create or update the order header and main transaction. |
| iOrder Edit Item | iOrder > Edit Item | Adjust order lines within the iOrder workflow. |
| iOrder Transaction Detail | iOrder > Transaction Detail | Review the supporting detail of the selected order. |
How It Works
- iOrder should be treated as its own order-entry process rather than mixed casually with unrelated order methods.
- The list screen is the operational hub for searching and reopening existing iOrder transactions.
- Line editing and transaction-detail review help users check accuracy before the next process step.
Recommended Workflow
- Create the iOrder transaction from the correct customer and document context.
- Review and edit order lines carefully before saving.
- Use the transaction-detail screen for review when quantities, pricing, or references need verification.
- Monitor the list screen for open orders and follow-up activity.
Best Practice
- Keep the operational team aligned on when to use iOrder versus standard customer orders.
- Review saved orders from the list screen before communicating final details externally.
- Use consistent order references so follow-up stays simple.
