Overview
The Promotion Rule screen is the main definition of the promotion. It tells QBM what kind of benefit to apply and under what timing and control rules.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | The business name of the promotion. |
| Promotion Type | Selects the type of benefit, such as Buy X Get Y, percentage discount, or fixed amount off. |
| Start Date | The first date on which the promotion can apply. |
| End Date | The last date on which the promotion can apply. |
| Buy Quantity | The quantity the customer must buy to qualify, mainly used in buy-and-get style promotions. |
| Free Quantity | The quantity that becomes free when the rule is met. |
| Max Applications | Limits how many times the promotion can apply in one transaction. |
| Minimum Amount | A minimum value condition where the promotion should only apply above a defined amount. |
| Percentage Off | The discount percent used in percentage discount promotions. |
| Fixed Amount Off | The discount amount used in fixed-value promotions. |
| Priority | Helps QBM decide which promotion should be considered first when more than one could apply. |
| Is Active | Turns the promotion on or off. |
| Applies To Same Item | Used when the free reward should come from the same item being purchased rather than from a different reward item. |
Recommended approach: create a simple rule first, test it, and only then add more targeted applicability or reward details.
