Overview
QSalesView is the QBM sales dashboard and manager reporting workspace. It helps users review current sales, compare periods, find top and low-performing areas, inspect item stock, and open customer sales drilldowns without leaving the sales review screen.
QSalesView is mainly for reading, comparing, and exporting sales information. It does not create customer invoices, sales receipts, customers, items, or inventory transactions. Those entry and setup tasks remain in the normal QBM transaction and setup screens.
| Area | What It Does | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Shows headline sales totals, growth, customer count, popular products, and daily sales charts. | Gives managers a fast first screen for daily review. |
| Manager Reports | Groups overview, trend, location, item, customer, employee, finance, and attention reports in one manager workspace. | Helps managers move from summary to action without opening many separate reports. |
| Sales Details | Breaks sales down by item, category, location, customer, and employee with charts and grids. | Shows what is selling, where it is selling, and who or which customer is driving the result. |
| Sales Over Time | Shows sales by month, day, hour, quarter, week, year, and monthly growth. | Helps users spot seasonality, peak hours, busy periods, and growth changes. |
| Items | Lists item details and opens stock by location for the selected item. | Lets users answer item and availability questions while reviewing sales. |
| Customers | Lists customers with selected-period sales and opens Sales Details filtered to one customer. | Supports account follow-up and customer-focused sales review. |

- Some chart labels are reduced on small screens to keep charts readable.

Common Messages and Results
| Message or Result | Meaning | What To Do |
|---|---|---|
| No data | No rows were returned for the selected dates, filters, or permissions. | Check the date range first, then remove filters one at a time and refresh. |

Best Practices
- Refresh reports after every date or filter change.
- Use Today and This Month shortcuts in Manager Reports for daily review.
- Use Needs Attention before detailed analysis when time is limited.
- Export CSV from Manager Reports only after confirming the active tab and filters.
- Do not compare users unless their location and employee permissions are understood.
- Use Customer drilldown when discussing sales with a specific customer.
- Use Items stock lookup before promising product availability.
- Log out on shared computers.
