Overview
Tab Path: Utilities > Reminder Settings
QBM can remind users about due dates, expiry dates, and follow-up items across several business areas.
The standard reminder screen controls whether a reminder type is active and how many days before due or expiry it should appear. The extended reminder screen also supports extra channels such as WhatsApp and email for supported reminder types.

How It Works
- Each reminder type can be switched on or off and assigned a lead time in days.
- The extended reminder screen stores per-reminder-channel settings such as WhatsApp and email where supported.
- Reminder settings are most useful when they match real business follow-up habits rather than being turned on for everything without a plan.
Recommended Workflow
- Open Reminder Settings and review which reminder groups matter to your users.
- Tick the reminder types you want active and enter the number of days before due or expiry.
- Open the extended reminder settings if you want to use WhatsApp or email channels for supported reminders.
- Test the setup by reviewing a record that already has an approaching due or expiry date.
Best Practice
- Use realistic lead times so reminders are helpful rather than noisy.
- Review tax and document reminders carefully because they often matter for compliance.
- Keep reminder ownership clear so staff know who should act on each alert.
- Use extra channels only where the business is prepared to monitor them.
