New Help Documents for Support and Training

This guide helps QBM support and training teams explain the latest help documents to customers and confirm the online help center is ready after publishing.

How To Access

After the help files are published, customers and support can open the QBM help center from:

Use the search box in the help center to find guides by title, module name, common task, report name, or message text.

What Support Should Test

  • Open the online help center and confirm the new guides appear in search results.
  • Search by customer language, for example: POS receipt, VAT return, PintAE, security group, trial balance, and cannot delete.
  • Open each new guide from the search results and confirm the left contents panel works.
  • Click the related guide links at the bottom of important guides.
  • Confirm the guide explains what the user should do, not only what the screen is called.
  • Report any missing topic, broken link, unclear wording, or screenshot requirement before sending the guide to customers.

How To Guide Customers

When a customer asks how to perform a task, support can send the help center link and the exact guide title. For example, for receipt printing issues, send the Print, PDF, and Email Troubleshooting Guide. For permission questions, send the Security Groups and User Management Guide.

If the customer cannot find the guide, ask them to open https://www.qbmis.com/help/ and search using one or two task words instead of a full sentence.

Publishing Check

If a guide opens locally but not from the website, the help folder on the website has not been fully updated yet. Publish both the new guide files and the updated index.html, then refresh the browser and test again.
