What This Command Does
Update Product opens the QBM update screen used to download patches over the internet. The screen explains that an update may be a maintenance release, new feature, new service, or other information relevant to the business.
This guide is for the Help > Maintenance command. It is separate from normal support advice about installing a full new QBM version or rolling back an update.
Where To Find It
Menu path: Help > Maintenance > Update Product
The screen title appears as Help & Support Center and includes a Download button.
Why You May Not See It
This menu item can be hidden depending on the edition, build, or configuration. If it is not visible, use the normal update process provided by QBM support.
If support asks you to update and you cannot see this command, tell support the QBM version, edition, and whether you are on the server or a client machine.
Before You Start
- Back up the company. The update screen includes a Backup company related task for a reason.
- Confirm support approval. Download only approved QBM updates.
- Use a stable internet connection. Do not interrupt the download.
- Ask users to stop posting if the update affects the application. Follow support instructions before applying any downloaded update.

How To Use It
- Open the command. Go to Help > Maintenance > Update Product.
- Read the update information. Confirm this is the update support asked you to apply.
- Back up the company. Use the backup link or your normal backup process.
- Click Download. Wait until the download process finishes.
- Follow support instructions. Some updates may require closing QBM, restarting services, or upgrading the database afterward.
After The Download
- Confirm whether the update only downloaded files or also applied changes.
- Restart QBM if support instructs you to do so.
- If a new version was installed, check whether Upgrade Database is required.
- Ask users to test the affected workflow before normal operation resumes.
Troubleshooting
