Overview
The Disassemble Item List shows saved disassembly documents so users can review history, open a document, create a new disassembly, print the list, or remove a selected record when permitted.
Use this screen when you need to confirm what was disassembled, when it was recorded, which assembly item was affected, and which location was used.
Where To Find It
Path: Inventory > Manufacturing > Disassemble Item List
If the list is not visible, check the company edition, the assembly feature setting, and the user's access rights for manufacturing list screens.
List Columns
| Column | What It Shows | How To Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Number | The disassembly document number. | Use it to match the list row to printed or internal references. |
| Date | The document date. | Filter by date when reviewing a period or shift. |
| Reference | Optional reference entered on the document. | Search or filter by reference when investigating a specific note or source document. |
| Item | The assembly item that was disassembled. | Group or filter by item to review activity for one assembly. |
| Location | The location where the assembly stock was reduced. | Use it to confirm the correct stock location was affected. |
| Quantity | The quantity of the assembly item disassembled. | Review it against production notes or inventory count results. |
| Cost | The cost value recorded for the disassembly. | Use it for review when the business checks inventory values. |
Actions
| Action | What It Does | When To Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | Filters the list to the selected date period. | Use it before searching so the list shows the right period. |
| Open | Opens the selected disassembly document. | Use it to review or edit the selected document when allowed. |
| New | Starts a new Disassemble Item document. | Use it when the user is already reviewing the list and needs to create another record. |
| Delete | Deletes the selected disassembly document when the user has permission. | Use it only after confirming the selected document is incorrect and should be removed. |
| Grid filter, sort, and field chooser | Helps narrow or arrange the visible rows. | Use it for review, audit, and follow-up work. |
| Print or save report | Outputs the visible list through the standard list reporting tools. | Use it when the review needs to be shared or filed. |
Recommended Workflow
- Open Inventory > Manufacturing > Disassemble Item List.
- Select the date range that covers the records you need to review.
- Use grid filtering or sorting to find the correct number, item, location, or reference.
- Double-click a row or use Open to review the full document.
- Use New if another disassembly must be entered from the list workflow.
- Print or save the visible list when the review must be shared.
Best Practice
- Filter by the correct date period before reviewing disassembly activity.
- Open the document before deleting it so the selected row is confirmed.
- Keep references and descriptions clear on the Disassemble Item screen so the list is easier to audit later.
- Save common grid layouts when your role reviews the same columns regularly.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What To Check |
|---|---|
| The expected document is missing. | Check the date filter first, then clear grid filters that may be hiding the row. |
| The Open command does nothing. | Select a normal data row, not a grouped header row, then try again. |
| Delete is disabled. | Check whether the user has delete permission or whether the list is open in read-only mode. |
| The list is empty. | Confirm the date range includes saved disassembly documents and that the user has access to view the list. |
