Overview
Product lot detail and selection screens help users choose the correct lot, review expiry or lot information, and keep lot-controlled inventory accurate.
Where To Find It
Path: Inventory > Product Lots > Details and selection
Access depends on the module, company setup, and security permissions assigned to the user.
How It Works
Users open lot details from product or transaction workflows, review available lots, choose the correct lot, and confirm the quantity allocated to it.
Main Areas
| Area | What It Means | When To Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Filters and search | Limits the list to the records the user needs to review. | Use it before opening records from a busy list. |
| Result list | Shows matching records with key dates, references, names, and amounts. | Use it to identify the correct record and compare activity. |
| Open and follow up | Opens the selected record or leads to the next action. | Use it when the list result needs more detail or action. |
Recommended Workflow
- Open the product lot details or lot selection screen from the active workflow.
- Review available lots, dates, quantities, and references.
- Select the lot that should be used for the transaction.
- Confirm the quantity allocated to that lot.
- Review the transaction after lot selection is applied.
Best Practice
- Use expiry and lot references carefully when selecting lots.
- Do not allocate more quantity than is available for the lot.
- Review lot reports when investigating lot movement.
