Purpose
QClock is the employee time clock for attendance. Employees use it to check in at the start of work and check out when they leave. Managers use it to review clock records, confirm whether records came from approved computers, and follow up on warnings.
Where To Find QClock
Open QClock from the company QClock shortcut or the link provided by your manager. Inside QClock, the left menu gives access to the daily clock screen, check-in, check-out, list, review, settings, help, about, and logout.
| Menu Area | Use It For |
|---|---|
| Home | Daily check-in or check-out, current status, today history, and approved computer status. |
| Clock > Check-in | Direct check-in screen when you only need to start the work session. |
| Clock > Check-out | Direct check-out screen when you only need to end the work session. |
| Clock > List | Employee clock records and recent attendance activity. |
| Management > Clock Review | Manager review of attendance records, warnings, approved computers, and export. |

Before You Begin
QClock works best when the company prepares users, employees, computers, and manager permissions before the first clock activity.
- Each employee should sign in with their own QBM user account.
- The QBM user account must be linked to the correct employee record.
- The employee should know their own QBM password because QClock asks for password confirmation when saving a clock action.
- The computer used for clocking should be registered when company policy requires approved devices.
- A manager account should be assigned for setup, computer registration, review, and export.
- If the company uses location checks, the employee should allow the location request on the approved computer.
Quick Start
Manager First-Time Setup
- Open QClock on the computer employees will use for clocking.
- Sign in with the manager account.
- If QClock says employee setup is required, link the signed-in user to the correct employee record in QBM, then sign in again.
- On Home, find the Clock Security area.
- Enter a clear computer name, such as Reception Clock, Warehouse Clock, or Office Front Desk.
- Select Register device.
- Confirm the page shows the computer as registered.
- If your company checks location, select Test GPS and confirm the location status is acceptable.
- Ask one employee to complete a test check-in and check-out.
- Open Clock Review and confirm the record appears correctly.
Employee Daily Use
- Open QClock on the approved computer.
- Sign in with your own QBM user account.
- Confirm your name, current status, and QBM time on the Home page.
- Add a short note if your company requires one.
- Select Check-in when starting work or Check-out when leaving.
- Enter your own QBM password when QClock asks for confirmation.
- Review the confirmation message and today history.
- Logout if the computer is shared.
Register A Computer
A registered computer is an approved place for employees to record attendance. Registration helps managers tell the difference between expected clock activity and activity that needs review.
Who Can Register
Only an authorized QClock manager can register or unregister a computer. If the register option is disabled, sign in with a manager account or ask your administrator to assign the correct QClock permission.
Registration Steps
- Open QClock on the computer that should be approved for attendance.
- Sign in with a QClock manager account.
- Go to Home.
- Find Clock Security.
- Type a clear computer name that staff will recognize later.
- Select Register device.
- Wait for QClock to show that the current computer is registered.
- Review the registered devices list and confirm the new device name is listed.
Good Computer Names
- Reception Clock
- Warehouse Entrance
- Office Front Desk
- Branch 2 Clock Station
When To Unregister
Unregister a computer when it is no longer used for attendance, when a computer is replaced, when the clock station moves to another location, or when the device should no longer be trusted for employee time records.
Employee Check-In And Check-Out
The Home screen is the recommended daily screen. It shows current status and chooses the correct action for the employee.
Check In
- Sign in as yourself.
- Confirm the computer is approved if your company requires registered computers.
- Confirm your status shows you are not currently checked in.
- Enter a short description if needed.
- Select Check-in.
- Enter your QBM password in the confirmation window.
- Wait for the success message before closing the page.
Check Out
- Sign in as yourself.
- Confirm your status shows you are currently checked in.
- Enter a short description if needed.
- Select Check-out.
- Enter your QBM password in the confirmation window.
- Confirm today history now shows the completed clock activity.
Password Confirmation
QClock asks for your QBM password when saving a check-in or check-out. This protects employees by reducing accidental or unauthorized clock activity under another person's signed-in session.
Attendance Verification Options
Your company decides which confirmation method employees must use. Some companies use password confirmation and approved computers. Other companies may add photo evidence, fingerprint devices, face devices, badge, or PIN fallback according to their policy.
For the full setup and daily-use explanation, see the QClock Attendance Verification Options Guide.
Daily History
Today history shows the employee's clock activity for the current day. Use it to confirm the saved time, action type, note, approved computer status, and any warning indicators.

|---|---|

| Time | The attendance time recorded by QClock. |
| Description | The note entered by the employee or manager. |

- Sign in with a manager account.
- Open Management > Clock Review.
- Choose the date range and employee filter.

|---|---|---|
| Computer registration required | The current computer is not approved for QClock attendance. | Ask a QClock manager to register this computer or use an already approved computer. |
| Only a QClock manager can register this computer | The signed-in user does not have registration permission. | Sign in with the manager account or ask the administrator to update permissions. |
| Employee setup required | The signed-in QBM user is not linked to an employee record. | Ask your administrator to link the user account to the correct employee. |
| Enter your password | QClock needs confirmation before saving the clock action. | Enter your own QBM password and submit again. |
| Password confirmation failed | The password entered did not match the signed-in user. | Try again carefully. If the password is forgotten, follow your company password reset process. |

| No check-in found | QClock cannot find an open check-in to close. | Ask a manager to review the day before trying to check out again. |
| Clock data could not load | QClock could not reach the company attendance information at that moment. | Check the company connection, then refresh. If it continues, contact your manager or support contact. |
| Location unavailable | QClock could not confirm location from this computer. | Allow the location request if your company requires it, then try again. If the computer has no location access, tell a manager. |
| Connection issue | QClock is not ready to save or review attendance. | Wait a moment and retry. If the message remains, ask a manager to check the company connection settings. |
Best Practices
- Employees should never share passwords.
- Employees should clock only for themselves.
- Use approved company computers for attendance whenever policy requires registered devices.
- Do not change the computer clock to influence attendance records.
- Keep descriptions short, factual, and work related.
- Managers should review warnings daily, especially missing check-outs and unregistered computer activity.
- Managers should unregister computers that are retired, moved, or no longer trusted for attendance.
- Employees should tell a manager immediately when they forget to check in or check out.
